The Isles of Scilly Register Office holds all the original Registers of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships that have taken place in this district, dating back to the 1st July 1837.
Copies of older Births, Deaths and Marriages Certificates can be obtained from the Superintendent Registrar by email: registration@scilly.gov.uk. They can also be obtained online from the General Register Office Opens in a new window. These could be to replace a lost certificate, or for the purposes of Family History research.
To apply for a copy certificate please download the relevant application form and either post, with the correct fee to the Isles of Scilly Register Office, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly, TR21 0JL or email us with all the relevant information needed to: registration@scilly.gov.uk

Cost:
- For a copy of a full birth, death or marriage certificate from the Superintendent Registrar Register's is £9.00
- For a copy of a short birth certificate from the Superintendent Registrar Register's is £9.00
- For a copy of a full birth, death or marriage certificate or a short birth certificate from the current Register's is £7.00
- For a copy of either a full or an extract of a Civil Partnership certificate after registration is £9.00
It is worth contacting the office prior to your application to check that we do hold the register entry and also the cost of the certificate as that depends on whether the entry is still in the current registers.
Please make cheques or postal orders, for any copy certificates from our Registers, payable to the "Council of the Isles of Scilly" and enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
