Disability Sand Chair for Hire
The Council of the Isles of Scilly has been equipped with a Sand Chair for use on the beaches. The special chair was kindly donated to the Authority by the Friends of the Cornwall Community Foundation, supported by Disability Cornwall
The specially designed sand chair gives people the freedom to access the beaches of the islands due to the unique inflatable wheels. Please be aware however, that the Sand Chair should only be used on the beaches and is not suitable for the coastal paths or heavy road use.
The wheelchair is available for hire at a cost of £5 per day to anyone either living on the islands or visiting.
