Plenty to boast about, but still work to be done.Emergency Planning

We all know Scilly to be a warm and friendly community, and we seldom hear of the social issues and crimes that are reported to us on the national news each day. However, that does not mean that Scilly is without it's own problems, and as a Community Safety Partnership we must guard against possible issues and work closely both with each other and our mainland counter-parts to ensure that Scilly stays as safe as possible, all year round.

Crime on Scilly has reduced annually for the past 4 years, which includes 2009/10 statistics (not included in this report). In order to do this, the Partnership has looked closely at the nature of our reported crimes and tried to come up with projects that help. A list of Partnership projects can be found elsewhere on this site.

By reading the crime statistics, and nature of our crimes, I hope that you may have a clearer understanding of the challenges that faced the Partnership in 2005, and I hope you may recognise the tremendous work that has gone into reducing our figures over the last few years.

Figures for 2011 will be made available shortly.
