Comprehensive Performance Assessment
CPA is an assessment by the Audit Commission which assesses and reports on the overall performance of every council in England.
The Council of the Isles of Scilly was rated as 'weak' in the CPA rating 2004 Opens in a new window and achieved a star rating of 'one star' in the CPA Rating 2005. Opens in a new window This rating was reached by looking at service performance, use of resources and council ability.
The way in which the Corporate assessments are carried out from 2005 onwards have changed in that there is now a greater focus on leadership, partnership working, value for money and achievement of local priorities. Scoring from 2005 onwards will not be comparable with previous years as a result of these changes.
