The Modernising agenda
The Council of the Isles of Scilly, along with other local authorities and institutes, is responding to a number of Government initiatives which can be broadly grouped under the heading 'the modernising agenda'. This general term covers a wide range of initiatives, for example constitutional reform, electronic service delivery, the concept of community leadership for local government and the encouragement of partnership working.
Some of these initiatives are being used to directly assist to drive to improve the way we work and deliver better, more efficient services.
