Welcome to Children's Services

The Council of the Isles of Scilly is committed to providing excellent services for children, young people and families and is responsible for early years and childcare, integrated youth support services, support to our school, children’s social care, child protection and support for families.

The council doesn’t work in isolation to provide these services but works collaboratively with a range of partners from Scilly and the Mainland.  We subscribe fully to the view that those who have responsibility for children and young people must work productively together if the next generation is to be given the best possible opportunity to mature and develop to the best of its potential.

Our vision and priorities are set out within our Children and Young People’s Plan.  We have determined these priorities following analysis of national and local data, as well as extensive consultation with children, young people, parents and professionals.

We are proud of our achievements but recognise there is still a lot to be achieved.  Please follow the links on the left hand side to read more about what we can offer you.

If you wish to make direct contact with us we are always willing to help.
