Baby Club

Children under 18 months old have the opportunity to attend with their parents/carers/grandparents at a weekly session facilitated by their local Health Visitor and Children's Services Team.

Baby Club meets every Wednesday at 1.30pm in the Playzone at Carn Thomas Children's Centre and provides an environment in which parent and child can meet new friends, have a chat, discuss any issues with the professionals present, learn about their child's development and attend structured informative sessions.

In partnership the Health Visitor and Children's Services Team plan a varied calendar of events including free play sessions, basic family first aid, feeding, sleeping, toilet training, home safety, baby arts, baby massage and much more. Families play a significant role in voicing the types of session that they would like to have available and have developed a close relationship with the organisers.

Parents have welcomed the Club and one parent said, "It is a fantastic support network available for new parents on the Islands."

If anyone with a new baby, or child under 18 months old would like to come along to our sessions, please call in on a Wednesday. For further information please contact the Children's Services Office.

View the "What's On" page for information about sessions being offered through baby club.
