Please look through our ‘Be Prepared’ leaflet, this is a joint venture between the Emergency Planning section of the Council and the Community Safety Partnership. It comes in the form of a Z-Card which is an easy-to-fold A4 leaflet.
This information is being passed onto residents so that the whole community have instant access to a clear, concise source of information in the event of emergency situations occurring here on Scilly. The leaflet also contains handy advice on more everyday problems that you may experience on Scilly and will guide you on where and how to get help if you need it.
The Isles of Scilly Place Survey held in 2008/09 indicated that over 55% of residents felt ‘uninformed’ as to what action they should take in the event of a large scale emergency on Scilly.
Please take a few minutes to look at the information and advice in the leaflet and to complete the useful numbers section with your own personal details. The Z-Card is designed to be kept with you – if you would like to obtain copies for other members of your household, please enquire at the Town Hall One Stop Shop.
