Concessionary Bus Travel
Anyone aged 60 or over, and eligible disabled people in England can get free off-peak travel on all local buses throughout England (rather than just their local authority area of residence).
In order to receive a Concessionary Bus Pass, applicants must be a permanent resident of the Isles of Scilly. An Application Form for Concessionary Fares Opens in a new window must be completed. Applicants must supply proof of age, along with two passport style photographs. In order to recieve a Consessionary Bus Pass applicants must fulfill one of the following eligibility categories:ust be completed. People over 60 must supply proof of age, along with two passport style photographs. In order to receive a Concessionary Bus
- Category A: You are Blind or Partially Sighted.
- Category B: You are Profoundly or Severely Deaf.
- Category C: You are without Speech.
- Category D: You have a Disability or Injury which has a Substantial & Long-term Adverse Effect on the ability to Work
- Category E: You do not have Arms or have long term loss of the use of both arms.
- Category F: You Have a Learning Disability
- Category G: You are unfit to drive due to a physical disability.

Concessionary Boat Fare Scheme
Residents aged 60 and above, or who have a disability, are entitled to concessionary boat fares providing providing return boat travel between St. Mary's and the off islands. Please contact the One Stop Shop on 01720 424 000 for further details.
