If you need a housing repair, we will ask if you want the contractor to make an appointment before calling. If the repair is an emergency (within 24 hours), we won't make an appointment, but will try to find out the best time to call.
If you want an appointment, we will tell the contractor or the Council's Direct Labour Force to contact you (normally by phone) to arrange it. You will be asked if you want a morning (8.30am-12.00noon) or afternoon (12.00noon-4.30pm) visit.
Please note that these are the times between which the contractor or the Council's Direct Labour Force will arrive to start the work. If it's a long job, they may arrive in the morning as asked, but not finish until sometime in the afternoon.
