If you need to report a repair which you don't think can wait until the office opens, please phone us on 01720 422537 and a list of emergency numbers will be given.
Please remember that the out of office hours emergency line is for real emergencies only. Real emergencies will always be responded to quickly. You may be charged if you claim it's an emergency, we then call a contractor out and after investigating the incident we decide that the repair was not an emergency.
If you are in any doubt though, please ring us and explain your problem.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
A member of the Council's staff will answer your call. They will take details of the repair and decide if it is an emergency. If it is, they will arrange for a contractor to call.
A tradesperson will normally arrive within 2 hours for general repairs but this does depend upon how busy they are at the time.
We realise that sometimes things change. If at first we decided a reported repair wasn't an emergency but it then gets worse over time, please ring us again to let us know what is happening.
