What do I need to tell the council?
- Your name, address and phone number (including mobile number if available)
- What the repair is
- Whether you want to make an appointment for the repair to be carried out (See also How do I get an appointment? below)
- Any other information that might be useful for us to know, for example if you have a disability
- If you are leaving keys with a neighbour please give us their name address and phone number.
We'll then let you know:
- If it's our responsibility or yours (See also Whose responsibility is it?)
- If it's an emergency or a routine repair
- The time within which you should expect the work to be done
- If someone needs to call and assess the work needed before we can order the repair
