Casual Assistant: Lifeguard

Are you a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering services that promote physical activity? Active Scilly are looking to recruit casual staff to join our team.

It is desirable for candidates to hold an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), or nationally recognised equivalent. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and must be available to attend monthly CPD training sessions, to keep their lifeguarding and first aid skills up-to-date.

Candidates who do not already hold their NPLQ must be able to swim 100m of recognised strokes both front and back at speed, able to collect a brick from the deepest part of the pool, tread water for 30 seconds and be able to climb out of the pool unaided.  (This will be tested at interview stage).

For an informal discussion please telephone Zoe Parry on (01720) 424497  or email zoe.parry@scilly.gov.uk.
