The islands have a partnership of public bodies sharing responsibility for reducing crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour and the abuse of drugs and alcohol. The Community Safety Partnership consists of the Council, Police, Fire Service, Probation and Youth Offending Team and the Drug and Alcohol Action Team.
The work is done in the context of a wider group of local authorities across Cornwall and together we have a strategy for community safety.
This is the finalised version of the Anti Social Behaviour Order Policy(ASBO Policy) as decided by the Isles of Scilly Community Partnership and the Council of the Isles of Scilly.
This forms part of the 2005-2008 Isles of Scilly Community Safety Strategy that is based on a survey carried out by Professor Rob Mawby who is a criminologist from Plymouth University.
Much of the material in this policy was taken from templates available from the Home Office website at www.crimereduction.gov.uk
The Community Safety Partnership chairman is Willam Thomas, the Assistant Chief Technical Officer of the Council.
