Normandy Community Swimming Pool

The Pool at NormandyNormandy Swimming pool was built over twenty years ago and was formally part of Normandy Hotel. The pool is now owned and run by the Council of the Isles of Scilly. It is an open air heated pool that's maximum bather capacity is 30

Since being taken over by the Council in 2002 the pool has been refurbished and modernized in line with national standards. The pool is now open most days for a range of activities including:
- Free swimming sessions for 16's and under
- Free swimming sessions for the over 60's
- Dedicated Adults only sessions
- Family open sessions
- Water babies
- Visiting school sessions
- Accredited swimming lessons and
- School use

The pool is a very popular service with the local community and visitors alike and is also available for private bookings for birthday parties or recreational group sessions. All bookings are made with the Senior Lifeguard by either emailing swimming@scilly.gov.uk by calling 01720 424046 or calling into the Town Halls One Stop Customer Contact Centre

There are currently 15 lifeguards and 4 swimming teachers working for this service on a seasonal basis. The pool is open from April - October (this sometimes varies depending on the weather)

Costs:

Children Free for 10hrs per week and £2 per hour for 4 hours per week
Adults Free for over 60's all other adults £3 per hour

Pool parties:

Parties for children under 8yrs old £52 for the hour for 20 children price includes 2 lifeguards and insurance
Parties for children over 8yrs old £39 for an hour for 20 children price includes 1
lifeguard and insurance

Training or recreational Sessions:

1 hours hire of the pool £24
Insurance per hour £2
