Green waste is now being sent to the mainland for recycling. As a result of this, the waste and recycling team now require that all material is cut down to at least 1 metre in length so that it can fit into bags ready for transportation. Material which does not meet this size is likely to be turned away from the site.
As normal, all householders continue to be able to dispose of household green waste free of charge at the Porthmellon Waste Management Site on Thursday’s from 1pm to 4:45pm.
