The Council of the Isles of Scilly wishes to grant fund an organisation to develop a project that supports people at risk of social isolation and/or losing their independence, encourages self care, self reliance and mutual support and develops voluntary sector provision on the islands.
The Council aims to promote independent living and to prevent the factors that cause and exacerbate long term conditions, particularly loneliness. The successful organisation will provide a bespoke and creative project to decrease demand on statutory services, promote wellbeing in its widest sense and utilise social capital to support people to be connected to their community and to get the best out of their lives.
