On the evening of Tuesday 14 November 2017, a training exercise will be held at a location on St Mary’s.
The exercise will involve people from various agencies including the Council of the Isles of Scilly, Police, Fire and Rescue Service, and Ambulance Service. The purpose is to help ensure that the islands are fully prepared for a real emergency.
Whilst there may be some lights and noise from the airport for part of the evening, there is no danger to those at the scene or nearby. Disruption within the vicinity of the exercise will be kept to a minimum.
After the event there will be a review of the exercise and further information available.
