Road Resurfacing Update - 10th June

Following the resurfacing of Church Road from Pilots’ Retreat to St Mary’s Church and Buzza Street resurfacing works today will commence in Porthcressa working from the petrol station towards the Tourist Information Centre.

This will follow in the afternoon by resurfacing of the road from Tremelethen Farm coming back towards Parting Carn junction (by the entrance to Lagan’s site).

The anticipated planing works will be the preparation of tie-ins at both ends of Tremelthen Road. A sharp ramp may be felt. After the preparation work on Tremelethen Road then similar tie-ins will be cut on Telepgraph Road. These will be located near the sharp bend and on the Hugh Town side just before the junction for Parting Carn.

Due to the narrowness of the road to Tremelethen Farm this road will be closed while work is going on. Works are expected to start at approximately 9 am and the closure is expected to last until 2 pm.

In general roads will be re-opened as soon as the works have been completed or if not complete then in the evening after work (between 6 and 7pm) for passage of vehicles in as much as practicable.

You are kindly requested to avoid making tight turns on the newly laid asphalt.

Lagan Construction Ltd sincerely apologises for any disturbance during these works and thanks you in advance for your co-operation and forbearance.

Please contact us on 07825 167569 if there are any problems during this work.
