Street care and cleansing
This section provides information with regards to keeping roads and public access areas that are the responsibility of the Council free from litter and illegal dumping
We will:
- Provide litter bins
- Sweep roads in Hugh Town on a regular basis
- Sweep other public roads on a regular basis
- Remove accumulations of rubbish from Council land
- Empty litter bins that are the responsibility of the Council
You can help us by:
- Being tidy with your litter and chewing gum
- Not leaving your dog's mess for others
- Not fly posting - it's untidy and illegal
- Not parking where you want us to clean
- Reporting any concerns to the Technical Services Department.
