CLOSED: Local Validation Checklist Review 2025

This consultation is open from 9am on Friday 22nd August 2025 until 5pm on Friday 3rd October 2025.

In July 2025 members of the Full Council (Agenda Item 11) approved a Public Consultation on the revised Local Validation Checklist, which is required to be reviewed every two years to remain valid. The current Checklist has therefore been reviewed and as part of adopting it we are carrying out a formal 6-week consultation period. This will ensure the community and any interested parties have had the opportunity to input or comment on the content of the validation requirements before it is adopted as part of the local planning application process. Once adopted the Local Validation Checklist will dictate what information is required for various types of applications on the Isles of Scilly.

When to respond to the consultation:

The consultation on the revised Local Validation Checklist will be open for 6 weeks from 9am on Friday 22nd August 2025 to 5pm on Friday 3rd October 2025.

Next steps:

All responses received by the deadline at 5pm on Friday 3rd October 2025 will be considered. Following a review of those responses, the Checklist will then be taken back to Full Council for approval and adoption.

All responses to this consultation will be anonymised before being published.
