A section of the footpath along the coast above Porthcressa Beach on St Mary’s is in need of repair. In order to undertake the required repair work, we will be temporarily closing a section of the path between the grassy area by St Mary’s Library and the allotments, as shown on the map below.
We ask that the public avoids this area on 14 October 2025 unless they need to access one of the affected properties.
We are writing to the occupiers of the properties which will be directly affected to notify them of the temporary closure, and the measures in place to ensure they can continue to safely access their properties by foot while the works are taking place.
