Final report on the Council of the Isles of Scilly Corporate Plan 2022-2026

At the meeting of Full Council on 27 January 2026, Councillors approved a report which set out the Council’s final assessment of its progress in relation to its Corporate Plan 2022-2026, ahead of the plan’s end date on 31 March 2026.

The final assessment documents, included as appendices to the report, considered the extent to which the 24 objectives the Council set in 2022 have been delivered. They also included updates to the narrative which was provided by the officers responsible for their delivery during the midpoint review in 2024.

Delivery of the Corporate Plan 2022-2026 objectives

The report identified that, since the launch of the plan in April 2022, the Council considers it has achieved 13 of the 24 objectives, with a further 2 objectives remaining achievable by the plan’s end date on 31 March 2026.

12 of the objectives were considered eligible for carry over into the next plan, should Councillors wish to include them.

Adherence to promises made to the community

Members felt the Council’s activity since 2022 had resulted in 11 of the promises being either kept or exceeded, and that steps taken by the Council had not significantly impacted its position in relation to a further 9 of the promises. However, it also acknowledged that the Council would be likely to fall short of 2 of the promises by the plan’s end date.
