Over the past year, we’ve developed a draft Isles of Scilly Children and Young People’s Plan to help focus efforts to respond to the needs of local families over the next 3 years. We’ve spent this time listening to the views of children and young people, and to those who care for and work with them, in order to capture a wide range of themes and perspectives and reflect them in our draft. We’re now in a position to invite views from the wider community via an online survey.
Cllr Joel Williams, Lead Member for Children, said: “In order to help children, young people and families across the islands thrive, we need the whole community to join the conversation about what needs to be improved. We need you to tell us where we have successfully identified what you need, and what the Council and its partners must do to support you in the coming years, and where we may still have some work to do in order to get this right for everyone.”

Responses to the survey will be analysed and used to shape the final draft of Isles of Scilly Children and Young People’s plan. This draft will then be presented to Full Council for approval in June.
Once approved, this important plan will be embedded in every aspect of our service delivery, both internally and with our partner organisations, in order to help drive the improvements for all of our children, young people and families.
