The Council is consulting on its draft Post-16 Transport Policy Statement for 2026/27. This consultation will run for 3 weeks from Tuesday 28 April to noon on Tuesday 19 May 2026.
In preparing its Transport Policy Statement, the Council is required to consult persons of sixth form age, or who will be adult learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan, and their parents, as well as other stakeholders on the proposed policy.

All responses must be received by the deadline at noon on Tuesday 19 May 2026 in order to be taken into consideration.
The survey questions have been designed to respect the anonymity of respondents. We have provided free-text boxes to enable other ideas, comments or suggestions to be provided for the Council’s consideration, but we ask that you avoid identifying yourself or others in these sections.
Next steps
Once the consultation has closed, the proposed Transport Policy Statement and the feedback from the consultation will be considered at a meeting of Full Council in the week commencing 25 May 2026. If approved, the Transport Policy Statement will be implemented on 1 September 2026 for the 2026/7 academic year.
