Bookable Planning Advice Service

Our recent trial of a bookable Planning Advice Service proved popular, so we're pleased to confirm that the planning team will continue to set aside time on a weekly basis for the community to seek general, in-person planning advice.

These sessions are intended to allow the community to raise initial queries only and can be used to ask about the following:

• general advice on planning considerations, policies and permitted development rights
• how to apply for planning permission and our requirements for validating planning applications
• general details about any constraints on or surrounding a site.
• when and how to get information from other authorities if needed (eg. Building Control, Environment Agency, Natural England, Historic England).
• planning application fees.

Appointments of up to 20 minutes between 9am and 11am on Monday mornings can be booked by emailing the team at planning@scilly.gov.uk or calling 01720 424456 and leaving a message. Please briefly outline what you would like to talk to us about so we can prepare to fully answer your question, and don’t forget to leave your details so we can get back to you to confirm your timeslot.
