The Council has been alerted to grey water discharge from the surface water drain at Little Porth beach.
The most likely cause of this is incorrect connections from washing machines, dishwashers and sinks in the surrounding properties which may have mistakenly been plumbed into the surface water sewer rather than the foul water sewer.
We urge all householders and businesses to look at their drainage points and ensure that all grey water is plumbed into the foul sewer as grey water cannot be allowed to discharge onto the beach. If you are uncertain as to the appropriateness of your plumbing discharge connections, then please contact the Environmental Health team on 0300 1234 105 and we will arrange a visit and advise further on the matter.
