Children’s Social Care drop-in session: 20 March 2024

We’re running a drop-in session to enable the community to meet with our Children’s Social Care Team to ask questions and give feedback about our services in person.

The drop-in session will take place on Wednesday 20 March 2024, from 10am – 11am in the Klondike meeting room at the Carn Gwaval Wellbeing Centre and is intended to open up communication with the community about Children’s Social Care issues and services.

There will be an opportunity to talk privately with the team, should you wish to do so, but general enquiries could include:

  • how to raise Children’s Social Care concerns
  • how to access wider services and support related to Children’s Social Care
  • how to provide feedback on your experience of Children’s Social Care Services on the islands and pass on any ideas you may have about how this experience could have been improved, if at all

Please remember that this session is being offered as an additional way of making contact with the Children’s Social Care Team. You should not wait for the drop-in session to report specific Children’s Social Care concerns. The team can be contacted by calling 0300 1234 105. You can also email the team at childrenssocialcare@scilly.gov.uk. You can find more information about Children’s Social Care on our website.

As always, any concerns of immediate harm to children should be reported to the police in the first instance by calling 999.
