Commencement of Ennor Farm housing site groundworks

Work to improve access to the southern site entrance of the Ennor Farm site on St Mary’s, where 12 serviced self or custom build plots will be delivered, has begun this week.

This work will be completed over 12 weeks by Penryn-based construction company WhitsonFays Ltd, following a successful tender process for the contract to use Brownfield and Land Release Funding from government’s One Public Estate programme to help deliver the project.

The groundworks required for this project also include the provision of suitable site drainage infrastructure and the development of a trackway.

What this means for the project as a whole

This site, located north of Old Town, is being brought forward to meet the demand for self and custom build opportunities on the islands and respond to the lack of available and affordable land for this type of home ownership. You can read more about plans for the Ennor Farm self or custom build housing site on our housing delivery webpages.

You can read the planning application for the Ennor Farm housing project on the planning pages of our website, along with the reserved matters application.
