There will be a partial solar eclipse on Friday 20 March 2015. The eclipse transition will begin around 8:20am and complete at around 10:30am.
Solar eclipses are beautiful natural events and we encourage you to enjoy Friday's transition; however, we want to remind islanders not to look directly at the sun. Looking directly at the sun can cause irreparable eye damage.
The Royal Astronomical Society has published advice and information on how to safely view the eclipse.
